The time in the ocean was rejuvenating. Hell drained him because it was hot and dry but also because it was Hell. It isn't ever really all that pleasant for anyone. Walking up out of the ocean to see Zee and her dinner waiting...
Well, if he'd been expecting something - that most certainly wasn't at all what he was expecting. The indication was that they were going to talk but a set up like this isn't exactly all about talking. Taking his time leaving the water allows him a chance to think of something to say and also to dry off enough to stop dripping but not to dry out.
A swirl of warm, heated air will go around him for a few seconds, getting rid of the drippy but not the wet. She doesn't want to dehydrate the poor man.
"Arthur," Zatanna smiles and meets him where the sand and the surf meet. "Hi. I'm glad you could make it. I hope you don't mind the...this."
The swirl of air brings a small smile to his lips, though he doesn't allow himself to say what comes to mind. The surf rushes up around his ankles for a moment as he allows himself to just take a moment to look at her in silence. "Mind what, exactly, Zee? Dinner? I certainly don't mind when someone else makes me dinner."
She smiles and kisses him gently on the cheek. "It's nothing big. Just something I conjured up." Literally. But hey, it's all stuff that Arthur likes. "You look refreshed," she added as she took his hand in hers and led him to the table, which was a full six steps away.
