"Ladies and gentleman, if you cooperate quietly, you may get out of this with all your digits and limbs intact. Empty your pockets into the sacks held by my fellow high-rollers and get down on the floor. And to any aspiring heroes among you.." Double Down ripped a piece of his cheek off, revealing a Jack of Clubs, which he hurled into the shoulder ( Read more... )

This seems like a good time for a green kangaroo to appear out of nowhere, landing on one of Double Down's goons, taking a moment to /wink/ at the supervillain before leaping off of one thug and twisting around mid-air, aiming a jump kick at another!

Kangaroos cannot speak but it is holding a dry erase board that has 'Regular, or unleaded?' written in bright green marker, which is gestures saucily towards Double Down.

Walking through the main doors of the bank quite serenely, Dr. Alchemy holds the philosopher's stone in one hand and an open book in another. It doesn't even look like he's paying attention to the crime scene around him.

He snaps the book shut, and eyes Beast Boy. "Usually I wouldn't concern myself with a heist such as this. But sometimes I like to buy texts, scriptures and whatnot legitimately, and for that I need money."

The stone glows and the ground beneath Beast Boy begins to turn into quicksand. "I hear not moving is a good way to prevent death, in a situation like this."

Splut.

The kangaroo has the decency to look a little embarrassed at being caught like this, and twists back into human form, looking a little worried. "Well, dag, yo."

"Hm." Dr. Alchemy holds the stone aloft again, and changes Beast Boy's form into that of a long green slug. "Fascinating."

He has a quick look in the book he's holding in his other hand, and lowers the stone. "You used to be called Changeling, didn't you? Back in the days when the Flash was a former colleague of mine. Why did you change your name? Changeling seems so much more apt. I can change you into anything."

"We did a recruitment drive a while back," Donna says, "But we're always open to anyone that seeks membership. There's been a few new additions to the west coast side, now that I think of it."
