The spotlight pauses on the first warrior to enter the arena.
Donna Troy.
She doesn't say anything or acknowledge the cries of the crowd. The Amazon stands tall, a bloodthirsty look in her eyes, inching for the fight to start.
A second spotlight swings around to light up the second woman entering the arena -- Diana, focusing her gaze on Donna the moment her foot hits the mat.
Her hands clench into fists and she takes another step forward. A feral smile creeps across her lips.
No words, then, just a crook of two fingers motioning at Donna -- bring it.
"Hah!!" Donna calls out a battle cry, as she flies at Diana at full force, aiming to tackle her at the waist and slam her into one of the support beams.
She takes the hit with barely a grunt, her feet sliding until they both hit the support beam with a earth-shaking crash.
Over the sudden silence that follows comes another sound -- laughter. Diana has taken hold of Donna's shoulders, in a white-knuckled grip, and she laughs.
"Little sister, you have always tried so hard to be better than I am. And you will always fail. Always." One hand grabs Donna by the throat, and they lift into the air, and with one easy movement Donna is tossed across the arena, to smash into one of the walls.
Today, there's a very unique spectator among the usual throng.

Actually, Prometheus has been wanting to see one of these matches firsthand for a while. Sure, he knows the kayfabe going on here, but that doesn't make it any less awesome to see two Amazons beat the hell out of each other, does it?
A crooked grin on his face, Prometheus watches the combatants with as much anticipation as anyone else in the arena.
