Putting The Pieces Into Place

Circe doesn't come to the Ghost Zone often. The place, has never really appealed to her liking and it lacks the peace and seclusion that she has on Aeaea. It's also a disgusting wasteland ( Read more... )

He's only been home for ten minutes, and already he's got a visitor.

To be fair, Prometheus hardly ever gets visitors to his Crooked House. The Ghost Zone isn't exactly accessible, and Prometheus wouldn't have it any other way. He'd just returned from the business with the Monk, feeling pretty good, when his security systems start blaring at him. Though a wooden structure, the security systems Prometheus's home is equipped with are far more advanced than most buildings on Earth. He knows the moment Circe transports herself into his domain that he has a guest.

The list of individuals capable of getting to the Ghost Zone are small. And when we sees the silhouette, he knows who it is instantly. Circe. Huh. Can't say he was expecting that.

Prometheus doesn't bother suiting up. If Circe's here for trouble, she'll be turning him into a pig regardless of what he's wearing.

"Circe." he says as he opens the door. "What brings you to my humble abode?"

"Prometheus," she nods curtly.

Circe then lets out a small smirk, "I was in the neighborhood and thought I'd pay you a friendly visit."

She then composes herself.

"In all seriousness, I have a business proposition for you," she says, folding her arms over her chest, "If you'd do me the grace of inviting me in."

"A business proposition, huh? You wouldn't by chance have been peeping on me for the past hour, would you have?"

He invites her in just the same, leading her up a crooked stairway. Traveling through the Crooked House can be a disorienting experience, as nothing seems to be built straight, but Prometheus has confidence in his guest's sorcerous grounding. He doesn't offer her support.

Opening a door, Prometheus leads the way into what was once a living room. Now converted into something one part gym and one part rec room, there's still nevertheless a crooked couch, which the villain plants himself on. He lets Circe have her choice between the rest of the couch or any number of crooked armchairs that are planted throughout the room.

"I'm guessing you're here because that whole 'Pit Cheetah against Wonder Woman' thing fell through, right?"

"Don't flatter yourself," she says, "I merely stopped by on business."

Any other female would have lost her balance upon entering the crooked house. Luckily for her, Circe's has experience with 'abnormal' places. The crooked stairway is nothing compared to Tartarus.

She takes a seat on the crooked couch when she enters the living room.

Circe lets out a snarl at the mention of Cheetah's name. "As much as I don't like admitting it, yes," she says with bitterness in her voice, "I knew I couldn't rely on that dumb bitch."

She crosses her legs, leaning forward on the couch, giving Prometheus an almost seductive smile.

"Which is why, I decided to come to someone that could really give me some firepower instead..."
