On tonight's episode... Max Shreck!!

Mar 16, 2009 20:21

Temporary host Caroline Delaney straightens her bowtie and fluffs her hair as her first guest makes his way onto the set, waving his gloved hands at the crowd, and blowing kisses. Such a charmer. She smiles, bats her eyelashes, stands, and shakes him by the hand. As they sit, she crosses her legs and gives her best "I'd so suck your cock" look ( Read more... )

Max brings his fingers together, and taps his mouth once, no, twice. And then lowers his hands, smiling. "Yes."

At the sounds of the audience laughing, he laughs as well. "Seriously though, I'm just doing what any enterprising businessman would do if they had been given the offers I had, and the fantastic business partners that I have the pleasure to associate with."

"And let's not forget the wonderful people of Metropolis. They brought me here. The Metropolitans and their indomitable spirit! And that's why I'm doing these good works, as so many have called them. Well, and for a tidy profit." Another laugh.

"You are our knight in shining armour, Mr Shreck." Again, she puts her lips together in that oh-so-seductive manner. Such a dream.

"You've not been vocal on the subject of superheroes, and it's a question that has to be asked; do you feel they do enough to protect Metropolis, given what happened last year?"

"I was saving my opinion for this show, Christine!" He smiles, and chuckles. "Given the many disasters that befell this great city over the past eighteen months, I wonder at how much the costumes adventurers of the city can actually do. They did their best, certainly, but public opinion of them is shaken ( ... )

Waiting in the Green Room... pulitzerwinner March 18 2009, 22:20:57 UTC
Because she doesn't like waiting, period, is that brunette from the studio audience. Pacing until Max shows up.

Prowling, more like, as if she were a caged panther.

"So you're Miss Lois Lane." Max walks in, takes off his gloves, and shakes her by the hand. "I knew the name, but not the face. Apologies. Please, have a seat."

He takes a bottle of water off of the table in the centre of the room, and swigs a mouthful. "Good audience out there. Inquisitive. As they should be."

I knew the name. Lois almost - almost - preens but settles for a little smug smile as she shakes his hand in return. "And you're the famous Max Shreck. I have to say that you're exactly what Bruce described you to be." She takes a seat as invited, crossing one leg over the other, a recorder in hand, a notebook near.

He laughs. "That can't be good. Bruce and I have a love / hate relationship... Or at least a very competitive one. I doubt he would speak my praises in an interview."

Five minutes after Lois' departure from the green room, another dark-haired woman arrives, this one taller, curvier, more deliberately well-dressed. She closes the door behind her and looks with a brow quirked at Max.

"Catalina, light of my darkness." Max holds his hands out at his sides, as if to accept a hug. And then lets them drop.

"Thank fuck that's over. That little mousey bitch is a smart one."

"The host of that program? The one who looked as if she would sleep with you on camera for the right price?" says Catalina icily. "I should carve her eyes from her face."

Max waves a hand. "No, no, not her. The reporter. Lois Lane. The one who's always writing about Superman. I played it like I didn't know her, but any businessman worth his salt knows that flattery is the way around that whore's heart. You know, I hear she fucks the big red, yellow and blue regularly."

Max takes a seat again, and offers Catalina a drink. "Did you enjoy the show? Was I charming enough?"
