Donna, from past experiences, has learned that it is best to come to these meetings prepared, as they sometimes have a tendency of taking longer then expected.
So she arrives at the base's meeting room with a plate of her quesadillas, a plate of cookies, and a twenty-four pack of Moutain Dew.
Seeing Jesse, her face breaks into a smile. It's been while since she saw some of her fellow Titans.
"Hello!" she says, as she began to put down the snacks and sodas on a table that is set up on the side, near a wall.
The room may be brightly lit, lacking much in the way of shadows, but somehow he manages to make an appearance out of nowhere to snag a cookie from over Donna's shoulder as soon as the plate's set down. He takes a bite and offers her a grin. Men and food.
"Mm. White chocolate macadamia nut," he says around his mouthful. "It's like you read my mind."
Donna rolls her eyes as a hand reaches down and snatches a cookie.
"Watch out," she says with a playful grin, "I have been taking lessons in telepathy from Martian Manhunter. No one's thoughts are safe around me. That and I knew the food would bring you out of your hiding place in the corner."
Flamebird slides into the room before making her way to a seat. She smiles at Jesse briefly before snagging a slice of quesadillas to gnosh on, while waiting for the meeting.
"OK, maybe just slightly less uncomfortable. Would you prefer for him to be more Batman-like, then? Hide in shadows and pop out at really awkward times?"
"No, that's my gig, and he hates being a copycat." He leans forward, resting his arms on the table. "But to answer your question, Flamebird, he's doing this strictly in a civilian capacity. This is, like I said, a community outreach kind of thing. His other... activities... are strictly off-limits when he's working with us, unless... well, unless we're in a real bind on a mission and we need to call him in as backup. This is a public position, with public scrutiny."
Roy was silently glad that his skill in stealth was still up to par as he leant against the doorjam, though this meeting must of had all of Nightwing's attention for him not to notice the red-haired archer.
"I over stay in Star City and you guys are trying to vote on Todd? What is the world coming to." Arsenal commented letting himself be known to the room of people he hadn't seen in about a month.
"Hey sweetheart," he greeted back with a slight nod. "Are those Donna's homemade?"
Roy wasn't to sure if he should stay for this meeting as he and Donna were still not really talking to each other, but he was hoping that he could try and make ammends surrounded by people with super powers just in case something did happen.
"If I'd known we had to bring food, I would have swiped some chilli."
"You can bring the chili next time," Mar'i assures him, gesturing for him to help himself to the plate of cookies Donna brought. "What do you think about Jason working with us?"
Watching Roy walk out of the room, Jesse rubs her temples.
"Well. If there's nothing else, I guess the meeting's over. You're free to go. And Nightwing, here's the budget stuff, if you want to look it over and give me the OK." A smile for him as she slides the papers over.
"Yeah, you're all good to go, unless there's something one of you wants to bring up." Nightwing leans forward, reaching to move the papers before him. God, it feels like most of his life is paperwork these days.
