Sleek leather chairs surround a conference table with a surface buffed to gleaming. Windows look out over a spectacular view of Metropolis. It's quiet, with barely even the hum of air conditioning stirring the calm

He kicks back a bit, putting his hands behind his head. "No. Just the part where you actually looked proud to be in public wearing a green and yellow body sock."
"But hey, if you're going out, at least step fabulous, right?"
"Did you see the property estimates?" The un-armored Killer Moth flips through one of the paper stacks with a whistle. "This stuff was a lot less concerning when you're on the other side of the caper."
The Big man did indeed show up. The doors to the briefing room open up and close immediately behind Lex Luthor, Infinity Inc's founder and financial backer.
Luthor goes and sits at the head of the table, removing a pair of spectacles and placing them on the bridge of his nose, looking over the figures.
"Gentlemen and Lady...before we begin, I'll inform you that Wizard and Miracleman will not be joining us here for the review. I've given them theirs myself, and wanted to just have the rest of the group here to cover at once. Due to their injuries and recovery time, its best that they not be here for this."
He looks up, seeing her as if for the first time. "That's Mr. Luthor to you. And why would there not be good news in here? I'm certain that Infinity Inc would have nothing but accolades to share about their capture of Dr. Phosphorus and what Lexcorp's chemical response team determined was two thousand gallons of Soder Cola."
Lex presses a button beneath the table. "Misunderstanding."
Immediately a team of Lexcorp security rush the room, and yank Catman out of his chair, signaling for one of the window panels to open and expose him to the chilled Metropolis skyline.
"I am certain that you and I haven't worked together before, Thomas. So let me inform you of something. I am Lex God-damned Luthor. I can wipe out you, your family, and everyone you've ever dreamt of given space and opportunity. At the moment, YOU, my friend...have both.
The opportunity to change your answer, your leadership, and your focus as field leader of my team is first. I don't accept a "we'll get there." You ARE there. You are to STAY there. Because otherwise, you...and the rest of your crew will be dead. And replaced

In a rush of air, she is joined by Roscoe Dillon.
"I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific, Grace - other than Cameron, who's quite happy to be employed as our resident invertebrate, all of us can fit that description."
Blake himself enters the quarters, carrying a bottle of Cutty Sark scotch in one hand and a glass in the other, not looking up at either of them.
"If you two are quite done whispering and wondering..." He pours a shot and takes it down, wincing from the burn. "...we can figure out how to move on."
