The Riddler is enjoying a cup of coffee at the office-building that serves as his temporary hideout when a quiet beeping alerts him - he fishes his PDA out of one of the pockets of his green sportcoat, checking the reason for the alarm with a smile

Julie was still confused about everything that was going on, and it was clear Riddler was not going to give her anymore answers. She was free? Just like that?

"Now, now - I see that eager look on your lovely features. Don't try to scurry off until the Batman's had his chance to rescue you, else the boys will have to gently reinforce your desire to stay with rope."

He takes a theatrical bow.

"And when you arrive safely home - be sure to watch the television tomorrow. I think you'll be curious to see my second Act."

After The Riddler's Departure..

Lenny and Carl have turned off the lights in the building, and lie in wait with machine-guns and night-vision monocles.

They're being paid pretty well to take on Batman, and neither has illusions about coming out of this unbruised.

They had better be well paid. And the pay had better include insurance. Bruce was not in the mood to be gentle tonight. He wanted to catch the Riddler in time and he was willing to mow through whatever thugs were left in his way to get to him.

He's as well equipped with night vision and more used to the experience. So he sees them long before they'll see or hear him.

Lenny's positioned near the door to a windowless office - odds are good that's where Julie is being held. He's crouched behind a desk, watching the windows warily.

Carl has his back to one of the many corners in the office, keeping his eyes on the elevator. Both carry AK-57 Assault Rifles.

No sign of the Riddler, though.

The elevator indicator lights started up and the elevator slowly rose. Each floor number lit up in sequence until it reached the correct floor. A cheerful mechanical ding announced the doors opening...
