Catching up

The little pub is pretty much exactly what Bea described. A little bit old fashioned, just his style, while still keeping up with at least the good beers, and leaving enough space for people to get comfortable

"Well, I decided to retire my website," she says. "I pretty much had two choices.. offer live feed or lower my prices. I just wasn't willing to do that. So, I'm looking for legit work. Dinah got me in touch with Mari, and I'm working on a deal to get into some modeling with her."

Ralph nods thoughtfully. "That makes sense. And with your background, you certainly have plenty of skills to offer, and, of course, you'd do great as a model. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help with the transition."

Bea nods. She turns to the bartender. "Cosmo, raspberry vodka please." He smiles. "Coming right up."

She looks at Ralph. "Obviously I want to use my.. other skills more, but I'm not exactly powerful enough to go solo, and I haven't exactly been called in by the JLA for any help."

He grins at that. "Don't give me that. I'm the poster child for hacking it without great cosmic powers. You could declare moving up to reserve status, if you really wanted, and I'm sure we could use you. Did you know that the vast majority of the league isn't even bilingual? I certainly could use some help from time to time on the diplomacy side. I know the current system with 7 active members at a time makes it a little more difficult, but if you were ever up for being on call, we could use you. That does tend to interfere with personal life and career at times though."
