Not all of Gotham is run down and dangerous. Of course any city which has as many dangerous criminals in it as the Gotham doesn't truly have completely safe neighborhoods, but Murphy Avenue is relatively safe. An unseasonably warm snap, combined with a relative sense of security, keeps people out in the last few minutes before sunset. A group of ( Read more... )

Good thing those cops aren't the only protection here tonight. Granted, he wasn't expecting Killer Croc to come looking for her - but the first rule of thumb in this life is to expect the unexpected.

He knows going in this is likely to hurt. A lot. A fight with Killer Croc always means pain in large quantities. The time it took Croc to get up the fire escape gave him time to come down from the roof and use the traditional method of entry: the front door.

So hopefully he'll start out with the element of surprise with a flashbang right in Croc's face, followed up with a snap kick to the mutated human's lower jaw.

He snarls as he's blinded, but he barely staggers when the blow connects.

He blindly flails, attempting to grab at his attacker. Croc is slow... but there's not a lot of room in this small apartment.

Speed is the ticket. Keep moving - make sure you can keep moving, that is. In this space, it's going to be hard. He jabs sharply at Croc's face again with an escrima stick, aiming to keep him blinded for as long as possible, then backflips away, using the back of the couch for leverage.

Detective Chandler! Get out of here!

If the cops downstairs haven't heard this noise by now, they're deafer than posts. He hopes the detective was smart enough to climb out another window already.

He recognizes that voice. "Nightwing!" He snarls and reaches for the closest solid object -- the sink -- and tears it from its foundation. Water sprays in a fountain as he begins to blink the stars from his eyes, and he hurls the porcelain with all his strength at the vigilante.
