There is a card in the mail, with a cheery, "Season's Greetings," picked out in gold glitter over a bright green tree ornament with gold glitter patterns.

On the inside, the card reads,

"Dear Sue and Ralph,

Hope your Holidays are the best!

~Love, Bea"

Ralph has cards already to go out, all homemade, but pretty professional looking. All also include a new picture of Allanah.
The outside of Bea's card has a series of numbers :

4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... and then finishing the fairly normal looking series with a great big, shiny number 10 in gold leaf.

Inside it reads :
From 4 to a perfect 10, Happy Holidays.

-Love always,
The Dibneys

They survived Hell, fought Nazis, died in droves and otherwise gave a young Sue enough grounding to know there was something to life beyond the surface glitz of her upbringing. When she started to rebel as a teen, they sent her to an outcast retired PI uncle in Florida who swore in Yiddish and told her stories about Sandman and Green Lantern.

Which is why Ralph crashing her party was practically a sign from God.

Now? Their home on the moon is a mix of the decidedly secular with a veneer of tradition under a heavy dose of whimsy. There is a tree. Ralph insists on his real tree. It is ( ... )
