After helping Gemma return to normal and doing what he can to see to some of the other Outsiders' injuries, Hector Hall takes off the helmet and finds himself on a deck where he can look out at the ocean and catch his breath. He's so lost in thought he's almost startled when someone speaks behind him. "So how's it feel to know you stripped a political enemy of its nuclear capability?" Sand says bemusedly.

"A little scary, actually," says Hector, laughing a little. "Last I heard, there weren't supposed to be any nukes on Cuba."

He sighs.

"This is going to get messy, isn't it?"

"More than likely." Sand sighs. "I'm sorry you got dragged into this, Hector. I'm hoping that the JSA doesn't have to go through a lot because you were there. That said, I'm very glad you were." He chuckled. "I took a big gamble with the team and almost lost. You were the hole card that might very well get everyone out of this."

"Eh," Hector shrugs. "In retrospect, you guys were starting to pull it out before we got there."

Hector takes in the view again.

"And I wouldn't worry about the JSA. We've gotten through messy before. Remember Kahndaq?"

At that moment, Hector's JSA communicator goes off -- as does every such communicator on the island.

Hector activates his, and is greeted by the very stone-faced visage of Mr. Terrific.

"Hector? Sand? This is Terrific. What the hell is happening down there?"

"Hi Michael." Sand says simply. "Um...we're back at base, getting medical attention and catching our breath." A beat. "Kobra got away, but all trace of him on the island is gone."

Michael takes a deep breath, and hesitates before moving on.

"All right," he says finally. "Your people all right?"

"For the most part. Having a physical healer on our team works wonders for that regard." He takes a deep breath. "The only potential problem is that I'm currently been magically stripped of my powers. I need to update the rogues file we have for Magique - one to update her name to Slyther, the other to bring forth that we now have a magical threat that makes Enchantress look like David Blaine. I do have an idea on how to fix me, but we're going to need access to Pieter's copies of my medical files, including the DNA analysis he had done on me back when I was a silica-based lifeform. Mystique didn't just take my powers...she rewrote...no, REGRESSED my DNA to back BEFORE Wesley's silicoid gun exploded on me."

He sighs. "And I can confirm, without a doubt, that the new Kobra is Dr. Light."
