As soon as Amelia's back she reports in, drops the witch off and then goes to hide, orders on not to disturb her. She's not used to this creeping feeling of panic, rage and sadness. As soon as she makes it a few corners it's like her knees don't want to know her anymore.

Hands in pocket, he whistles as he walks right up to Amelia and stops in front of her. "So you're it. You don't look so bad to me."

Her entire body is a bruise and it takes her a second to get up. She pulls away when his hand goes out to help her up. She brushes herself off, more out of gesture than anything. He pauses just beside her, careful not to close for what counts as personal space. There's enough people in the world who don't fundamentally respect that idea as it is. Amelia might only be a half-breed, but she is a demon and they have their own little code of conduct. You can also smell a Soviet with new money from ten miles away, and that's a whole other level of etiquette to be taken into account. What he has gotten from this little interchange is that this one is definitely not something to let run loose. She'll probably have to be disposed of after all this is done. This one doesn't attack until it perceives a threat. Phillip has a feeling one would never know what Amelia found threatening until she's already kicking your face in. Too bad. She could've been useful. "I am neither judging, nor accusing. Merely noting that we all do what we must."

He looks torn for a second, finally his face resting on a serious expression. "You remind me of my little Therese with that snappy little tongue. I called her 'Roary Corri' because she never spoke but when she did--" He chuckles and waves a hand nostalgically. "Brilliant sometimes, how you can get right down in the crevices of people's nerves and just... unlatch?" Why is he suddenly so close on her? "I imagine that's why your brother obsessed on her so. What was he to do without his snappy-tongued female to command him around? I'd be angry, too, to be replaced so drolly, but consider you only served a function..."

About time she showed these people a thing or two about poking her with a stick. There's a hesitation in her face, though... something's wrong about him.
