It's actually a pleasant drive for once. He took the time to pack a pipe before he left. The Stanwell is the smallest in his collection. When the door is opened, his daughter looks rather tired and frazzled, though she hugs him as eagerly as ever. "Hi, Daddy. Have a good drive?"

"Gampa!" shouts Mary. She toddles over to him and raises her arms imperiously. "Upper down! Upper down!"

It's the equivalent of getting mobbed when you have your hands full. He wouldn't want it any other way. He returns the hug as best he can then hands off the flowers. "Hi Princess. Can't complain."

His gaze shifts towards the floor. "There's my grandbaby!"

"Upper down!" insists Mary. Her mother takes the flowers and wheels out of the way, heading towards the kitchen. "We're trying to convince her that it's better to say, 'Please pick me up,'" she calls over her shoulder. "So far we're not having much luck."

He hears every word Barbara yells from the kitchen. His eyes though are on Mary. "Upper down, huh? But you're already down."

Grandpa's going to take very opportunity to tease the toddler. Why? It's in the job description.

Huh? What'd I do now?

The father in question is at the door to the living quarters, wearing track pants and an old t-shirt. He's got his left arm in a sling - not broken, thanks to an unfortunate run-in with a wielded crowbar last night. It's already driving him nuts.
