Kilowog's probably trying to mess with him, making him babysit the Gil'Dishpan. These people are nasty and irritating

Diana had been looking for him, she likes to keep tabs on all of the people there to help but of course with John it was more than that. He'd found someplace dark and quiet, probably the only such place wher they were at the moment.

"Would you like company or would you like to be alone?" They had all been distracted since having to leave so suddenly for this crisis. John has been more quiet than usual though, more distracted than just being on a mission would explain.

He looks up from his contemplation of the window, and as usual, she promtps a smile.

"You're the best company I could ask for right now," he responds, as he leans against the wall.

"Then I am happy I found you." She walks over to lean against the wall with him, shoulder to shoulder and smiles.

"You have seemed troubled lately." She's such an odd mix of blunt and diplomatic sometimes.

He takes her hand. Instinctively. It's been a long time since they had any real time to themselves.

He's always liked that she's blunt. The never-ending honesty is refreshing... but it also means he can rarely get away with anything.

It's a deep breath or two before he can really answer.

"Just... personal things, really." Not trying to shut her out, but certainly something that he'll need coaxing to talk about.
