"Anything for you, Ralph. I'm on my way up."

He's at Ralph's side almost before his comm crackles out.

"What can I do you for?"

Ralph is looking contemplative as Flash shows up. "Do you or Jay still have those old treadmills? I'm finding some odd information here, and may need something tracked down, if Mid-Nite is able to give me a rough time frame. There's a lot still uncertain... but I wanted to see if you still had that old thing."

"Yeah, I know Jay's kept his pretty neat. The one Barry had is up here in the Tower, but I don't think it's in working order. I can check with Jay and try to get his, if you need it - or if you want to come down to Keystone, I'm sure the Garricks would love to see you."

She's been busy. Between setting up the new diplomatic outlet for the JLA to members of the UN and affiliated countries and other moments of stupid, as well as getting together what will be her final report and press release regarding Degeneration Y - which she shouldn't hold off on much longer...

Ah, the goddamn holidays.

It's been so busy she hasn't seen Ralph lately. She just was able to give him the bare bones about here encounter with Ray, Faust Jr., and the knife thing. Worse, the kid dropped off the damn radar and she spent what free time she can watching Alanah and trying to remotely find him - which isn't working. Could be nothing. Hopefully it's nothing. He does hate cape stuff after all.

Truth also is...with everything with Jean and losing Ray...she hasn't wanted to look.

She owes Ray more than that.

"How's it coming, hon?"

"Slowly. But the body we have doesn't seem to be Ray Palmer. Which just sets up a whole lot of other questions I don't have answers to yet. But I think I've pieced together the events of the night... well, other than the part where this isn't Ray Palmer."

She'd like to crawl into his lap. It helps them both relax and Alanah tends to love to fall asleep like that. the doctors have all said "no." She goes to work on his shoulders instead. It's so odd not to find them rubbery.

"What do you mean 'not Ray?' It was his genetic material, right?"

"Yes, it was definitely his genetic material, which means a clone, magical duplicate, or.... something. So now we need to find out what happened to the real Ray Palmer, and where Enchantress and Chronos fit in to all of this."

It is later.

Jay had the Cosmic Treadmill out -- it's been dusted off, and Jay stands before it, his familiar winged helmet on his head.

"Ralph; Sue," he greets. "Wally didn't tell me much, but I understand you need use of the Treadmill."

Ralph nods. "Yes, but not quite yet. As usual, you're a step ahead. First, I'm hoping those questioning Chronos can find the chronaton trail or something to give us a point to home in on. If they do, then I need you or Wally to use the treadmill to trace the signal, and follow it... its the only way I can think of to start clearing up some of the things that aren't fitting in."

"I'll help however I can, of course," Jay replies, nodding.
