Guess who's coming to dinner?

I am a grown woman, Babs reminds herself as she rolls back and forth in the kitchen. I survived growing up in Gotham. I survived being shot by the Joker. I refused to sit in a corner and do nothing when so much was taken away from me.

The soup needs more pepper. The bread is ready to come out of the oven.

After dessert, Babs suggests they all move into the living room. "Honey, do you think we need to put Mary in her hoverchair?" she asks Dick, looking at their daughter. "I don't want her annoying the Kents with her usual post-supper run-around."

What can he say to that, to do it justice? Not a whole lot. Dick's respect for the Kryptonian runs deep - hell, he gave him the inspiration for his new identity after shedding the mantle of Robin.

His expression communicates his gratitude.

That, too. Mostly, I'm realizing that if I don't want to be like Bruce, I need to stop acting like him. Cyborg and Starfire need to be able to do their thing, and they can't do that if I'm under their feet. And I don't want to give the Titans up. This seems like the next best idea.
