It was roughly two in the afternoon, and already Sand had had a very, very long day.

A knock on the door, with Michael Holt leaning in the doorframe, carrying two cups of coffee.

"Look like you've had a time of it," says Michael, sliding him a cup of coffee. "Care to talk about it."

Sand takes the coffee. "Thanks, Michael." He takes a deep, long swig. "The majority of it you'll find in the battle writeup at Oracle Central. Short form is we went head to head with the Monster Society at Corrine's house."

Michael nods. It's obvious he's read the write up already.

"And survived. With an ad hoc team, at that. I'm impressed."

"We have Dr. Light to thank for that, of all people. But they underestimated us and we pulled every trick in the book on our side, plus we had a TON of cavalry show up, including two aliens, an earth elemental, a Green Lantern, and a chimp."
