ARRIVAL

I arrived at the courthouse at around 7:15 this morning, fully expecting a mob of crazed Potter fans and media representatives. To my surprise, I was the first person there. As media made their way up to the courtroom, a security official came out to announce that no one would be let in prior to 9:00. They proceeded downstairs to the ( Read more... )

On an interesting note, from across the room I could see Mr. Vander Ark initially move towards Melissa and John as if to extend a friendly greeting, but was met with Ms. Anelli’s, for lack of a better word, death stare. He immediately retreated to the other end of the hall.

This is wonderful. *friends*

Lol@ Melissa's reaction to SVA attempting to approach her. Also, about how old was Steve's little tart? He's 50 year's old for cripe's sakes. You'd think he'd know better. He really is going through a midlife crisis.

I can't wait to read your perspective on SVA's testimony tomorrow.

Mollywobbles867 asked: about how old was Steve's little tart?

I don't mean to digress from the topic of the trial, but since you've asked, she's 24 or 25 - Just a couple years older than his oldest child. What he's going through is far more than a mid-life crisis. I have known Steve and his family for almost 20 years - long before Harry Potter became his way of life.

He was fired from his job for taking up with this bit of crumpet. He left his family and friends for a lifestyle he will never have. It is incredibly sad for those of us who actually know him and his family.

This situation with the book is just a small part of his new life that coincides with everything else being totally upended. He just walked away from all his responsibilities and his entire life. It deeply saddens all those who know him.

O hay, your misogyny is showing.

Unless you're going to even the playing field by making assumptions about Steve's sexual mores on the basis of his manner of dress, you need to reconsider the language you're using.

Actually, you might just want to consider that you don't know shit about any of these people, and that while Steve may have brought the scrutiny down on himself, his friends and loved ones didn't.
