I think I will get the card done this year yet. Slowed down a lot these last few months with summer and work, but I only have 8 squares left. "Under 30" and "A Book that Scares You" are the hardest ones so far to find.
I just read Divergent and it wasn't awful. I think it was one of the few cases where I would have liked it more had I not already seen the movie first (and I'm holding firm in my opinion that I actually liked the movie better *gasp*). Anyway, that author is under 30. It's quick read and definitely enjoyable if you like the post apocalyptic young adult type novels (It was better than maze runner, at least!)
If you want something with a little bit more literary substance, you might like "The Tiger's Wife." I'm almost 100% certain that author is also under 30....uhhhh Tea Obreht, is her name!
Cool, thanks. I had started Divergent (borrowed but didn't take it), and could give it a try again. I haven't seen the movie yet, but kinda plan to. I'll plan to read the book first then. Thanks for the other rec as well!
I'd be curious to hear what you think once you've finished the book (and/or watched the movie). I almost never like a movie more than the book, but this was one of those rare instances. It could fill your square though?
On the other hand I really loved The Tigers wife too. I think I liked it more after I'd finished it than while I was reading it? It felt a little slow at times, but it really is a gorgeous book.

Tiger's wife might be harder for me to track down, but it looks interesting too.
The only movie I liked better than the book was Stardust. Gaiman's book is great, but I think they did a lot of cooler things in the movie.
