For the technically enabled, I often bring audio or mp3 CDs with local music.

Yeah, I love to surprise the locals with knowledge of their local stars, but I hadn't thought of sharing my music with them. A cunning plan!

We'll pretty much talk to anyone who talks to us--unless they're trying to get us to buy something. Sometimes we've mistaken people who only wanted a photo with us for someone trying to sell us something. It can be tricky, but it is always fun to take photos with others.
