Today was one of those days at work where you wish you hadn't got out of bed that morning.
The day started rather uneventfully work-wise, as I went about my business and continued travailling away on the current language project we're working on. And then the server literally blew around 11:30 am.
The translation job that I and three of my colleagues have been working on for the last month and a bit may be all but lost, as currently we know that there is 40% of the material that has been lost and possibly destroyed. We're not the only ones in this position, of course, and some of the others have lost even more material, but I feel as if the universe has wailed on me. Needless to say, most of the work day since then was rather...uncreative, and depressed emotionally. Even Donna was down in the dumps, especially with some of the phone calls she was fielding.
In any event, I'm home now. Going to relax a bit with some music (anything but
Abney Park though) right now, and then get ready for a bit of supper and then some reading for the evening entertainment.
