Well, further developments on the gaming front in terms of the order for games that I've got outstanding with the folks at Cubicle 7. As you may remember, here's my last update on the order

In good news, I got an rpg product from Rogue Games by courier today that was shipped three days ago. So at least I know not all these game companies are fucked up.
This makes me think I should hunt down Airship Pirates (slated for GenCon 2011 release)in a store or convention rather than order online (my preferred method of ordering anything). I feel for you sweetie. Hoping the future orders go better.
Pretty much how I feel right now. I'll likely pop into a game store this weekend, if I can walk on the ankle properly, and snag a copy if they have any left.
And this has nothing to do with the TAG guys, this has to do with Cubicle 7. :(
This is the conundrum with small game presses: they make better games that big presses, but they are impossible to deal with sometimes. John Wick has been screwed around with Blood and Honor, so I won't hold it against him that I'm waiting for that. I've been waiting for the new Delta Green book, which I paid quite a pretty penny for, and no news from Pagan Publishing on when it will show up - if ever.
Doesn't seem as frustrating as your experience, but still. Good quality products, sometimes terrible shipping.
You summed up my feelings on this quite well, mate. I guess I was expecting better things from Cubicle 7 because of all the good reports I've heard about the company's shipping and dealing and all. That said, they have recently changed warehouses and other stuff, so perhaps this is a major factor in the screw up and all.
I'm sure you've picked up on my love of Delta Green. Because of this, I try to pick up all the Delta Green supplements as they come out - not that hard, include the core book there are only four books. I own two, and have one on pre-order.
Pagan Press gets major props for their release philosophy: instead of three or four books a year that are mostly dreck that you'll never use, we'll put a book out every 18 months to two years that is 400 pages of pure awesome. That is how, I think, they get away with the high price-points on their book. But their shipping. Damn. Every single book I've pre-ordered from them, every time, gets delayed at the printer, the warehouse has shipping problems, etc. etc. etc.
My guess, and it's pure conjecture here, is that C7 is suffering from its huge expansion and move last year. Having gone from being a small company with barely any lines, they spent last year constantly making distribution deals and growing their ranges. I think the post about GenCon suggested they'd gone from something like 8 products to 65 between GenCon 2009 and GenCon 2010.
It doesn't excuse poor business practise, but it might explain it somewhat. Equally, from what I know of Angus, he'll be as upset that this has all screwed up as you are.
You're probably right on all counts here, mate, but to be honest, this is of little consolation to me right now. I was supposed to start running AFO within the next few weeks, but not having the group nor having read the game as yet (since I don't read 190+ page PDFs on the computer), I guess that's gonna fall through.
Still, I am hoping I get my copy of the book sometime before the end of August, but don't see this happening. If it does, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I'm not at anything that Angus is likely to be at until at least September, which I'm hoping will be too late to be of help.
If there is anything that someone on the right side of the Atlantic can do, then let me know.

I just seem to keep getting the runaround.

Not much consolation at the moment, though. :(
