I hope you don't have what I had - my cold mutated into bronchitis, I ended up losing a week from work, and a month later I'm still on an inhaler (Flovent).

But at least it's not H1N1. :-)

The doctor told me that the cough from a really bad cold can persist for several months.

But like you said, at least it's not H1N1.

Congrats on it not being H1N1. Sorry to hear it is beating you down so much. Hope the books & meds assist in a speedy recovery!

I never seem to get over colds and the like very quickly. The doctor gave me an anti-biotic, and then a second one after the first one caused gastro problems, and that seems to have relatively done the trick.

Then, of course, the shite hit the fan at the house, so to speak. :(

Was left believing "flu" at first two weeks ago here in my own instance. Seeing my new doctor this week about finding out for sure.
