I think that was one of my first books that I read on my own too!

Reading is very important. I'm glad we still have books in this world.

One of the reasons I still get the warm and fuzzies every time I re-read my copy of The Hobbit. Very dog-eared. Need a replacement soon.

Totally agree with you about how important reading is, Eliza! But the nature of reading has changed, and to be honest, I'm also glad that there are still physical books in the world. It will be a bad day for literacy when books are only available in electronic media.

I love physical books. I also do read a lot on an ereader. I feel like as long as people are reading I don't care how they do it.

Totally agree with you. As long as people are reading, doesn't matter how they're doing it.

That said, I can't read on electronic media any longer due to my eyes. Of course, the physical books do take up a lot of room. Am in the process of purging a lot of hc and tpb books these days, but getting very little money for them. The Book Bazaar here in Ottawa is cleaning up on my books the last two weeks. *sigh*
