Haven't mentioned it before, but one of the rpgs that I've been looking forward to is the new
Dragonbane RPG from the folks at
Free League Publishing. Well, yesterday (Thursday), my Kickstarter pledge package arrived here at the house, so I figured I would show folks what showed up.
First up is the boxed set of the game itself. As I will post up another blog entry or two once I open the box itself, for now I'll just say the Dragonbane RPG boxed set is chock full of stuff, and the box is 9" x 11.5" and 2 inches deep! Very heavy, though I don't have a weight on it.
There is also a lovely, 4-panel GM Screen for the game that looks just marvellous. Made of solid, heavy cardboard. Looks really good.
I also received a copy of the art print that shows the main cover illo without any writing or text on it, in a standard 8.5" x 11" format, as well as an extra set of dice (there is also a set in the box). There are ten dice in the package, including two D20s that have a custom design on them. Looking good, too! :)
Finally, while there is a paper version of it in the boxed set, I received a separate package with the cloth map of the Misty Vale, the part of the world that introduces the
Dragonbane RPG setting, designed and created by master cartographer
Francesca Baerald. Just a superb, brilliant map.
Really happy with the pledge that I made for the game, and I can't wait to unbox the
Dragonbane RPG boxed set and dig into this game. :) So look forward to another unboxing post folks, once I have a bit of time on my hands to take care of that! :)
