I'm *S*O* glad to see you deciding to make a conscious effort to look for something positive everyday as a resolution!!!! In my experience, whatever you focus your mind and efforts towards will go a long way to shape experiences and perceptions in the short term. What you look for most often tends to end up being what you SEE most often. Gratitude is a huge part of my own spiritual practice on a day to day basis, FWIW. Gratitude and a very deliberate practice of kindness towards as many as I can to the extent that I can. Kindness and Gratitude go a long way towards helping me have a better, more peaceful life
( ... )
To be honest, I always want to find something positive every day, and make this same resolution every month and all. But the constant (worsening) pain and the sheer number of health issues I'm dealing with are wearing away any resolve I have every day, and it's a struggle to resist the waves of apathy and negativity that come over me. Anyway, we'll see how this works for August. :)
I'm sure the gaming experience face-to-face will be helpful in both cheering me up and giving me the social interaction that I (so desperately) need. Not sure how long it will last, given the state o the pandemic these days, as cases rise, but I'll try and remain...positive. :)
