Here we are, the day after I had my first jab...umm, shot...of the Pfizer vaccine to prevent me catching COVID-19

Not exactly certain how things work up in your neck of the woods, but when my friend Nina started to despair of getting her second dose on time, we ended up calling one of the participating/vaccinating pharmacies in the area. She was able to get her shot there with no problem.

Is there a similar distribution program going on where you are, and if so, have you tried calling the pharmacy and trying to make an appointment with them?

There is a pharmacy vaccination campaign, but it's only doing the AstraZeneca vaccines currently, though they'll also be giving Moderna shots. (As we've talked about, I can't have either of those two shots, so...)
