The Day After the First Jab

Apr 15, 2021 13:59

Here we are, the day after I had my first jab...umm, shot...of the Pfizer vaccine to prevent me catching COVID-19.

Woke up this morning feeling quite tired, lethargic in fact, and dehydrated. I had woken up around 4:30 am to find that I was running a bit of a fever (very mild), so took some Tylenol and drank some water and then fell back to sleep in bed.

Still feeling quite lethargic and to be honest, exhausted, but I don't think I've got a fever any longer. My arm is still sore at the injection site from the jab, but otherwise I don't feel too bad though the fatigue is just...well, a good motivation to go back to resting on the couch and napping or whatever. Eyes hurt a bit, too.

What does have me concerned this afternoon is that my second jab appointment for the 4th of August has been cancelled today. Got the e-mail this morning, and had it confirmed when I called the vaccination booking line. I couldn't get an answer from anyone as to why the appointment has been cancelled, and there's no new appointment booked at this time. They told me to call back in several days to try and re-book the second shot appointment.

Am a bit worried...

session cancelled, vaccination, vaccine, pandemic, personal, health hut, coronavirus, second jab, covid-19, appointment
