Work is done for the day, so it's time to turn my attention to other things.
It's the weekend. The Halloween weekend.
I had it in mind to run a scenario for the
Chill 3rd Edition RPG for Halloween, but to be honest, I hit a bad case of writer's block during the last two weeks of trying to work on it, and have abandoned the idea altogether for this year. Will definitely try to get the scenario written for next year's Halloween, but no promises (you reading this, KathyB?).
In the meantime, the science fiction rpg that I had planned to run has been boxed up in the cupboard once more, as to be honest, something happened this week with the game designer and publisher that I'm not going to talk about, but which has completely soured me on the game. In retrospect, it's probably a good idea I'm not going to run that particular game, as I'd rather run "Firefly meets the Arabian Nights" anyway, so will wait to run the
Coriolis - The Third Horizon RPG when that game comes out. However, as a backer of the Kickstarter, I've got a a lot of the chapters for the game already (though not in necessarily complete form), and may do something with the game with my players.
The Friday night players have expressed an interest in playing the game this evening, possibly generating sample characters to see how the game works, and I can always run them through the Quickstart adventure for the game next week. So who knows?
We'll see how things shake out this evening.
