Broadchurch Series 2 Airs Sunday Night!

Just been browsing the newspaper this afternoon, and saw in the TV Times listing that there's something to look forward to on tv on Sunday night.

The second series of the English show Broadchurch begins Sunday night at 10:00 pm on Showcase Canada. Hooray!

The first series of Broadchurch was absolutely brilliant, and spawned an American version

The PVR had caught them but I didn't know whether it was a new season or not. Because the TV guide data that Videotron uses is rubbish. :-/ (no episode info)

Good to hear. We HATED WITH PREJUDICE Gracepoint. Shot for shot clone of Broadchurch.

Well, the second series debut of Broadchurch was only last night (the 11th), and I rather enjoyed it. Don't know whether you're seeing it on Videotron or not (I get Bell Fibe).

As for Gracepoint, well, let's just say that it was a really bad American version of Broadchurch 1, and the acting just wasn't up to snuff, including David Tennant's role. It just didn't have the style and feel of the original, but that's typical for so many American-made UK show translations.

Showcase has always been available on Videotron - and in HD since I have HD - which is not the case for all the other channels.

Only some of the US channels aren't available like CW (for Supernatural). AMC came late (premium HBO / TMN package though, albeit we already had it so, bonus) but it is here.

In Gracepoint, the first episode was a scene for scene rip off of the UK show.

While that's true of Gracepoint Episode 1, there were some differences but these were just minor. The plot deviated much more in later episodes, not to mention the Americanisation. Ugh!
