One of the articles written about the series while it was being shown in the UK claimed that Tennant was going for a BAFTA by being as scruffy and unkempt as humanly possible. And Coleman's emotional journey through the story was quite something to witness.
Believe it or not, Broadchurch was the reason I finally lobbied Hubby for us to get a region-free Blu-Ray/DVD player - and I now own the boxed set.
I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on this one as it plays through.
It's been an interesting series to this point, Mar, and I am rather enjoying the character interactions, revelations, and some of the more British elements of the series to this point.
I trust you've been reading the Broadchurch blog entries (since I'll be posting about Episode Five later on today)? Haven't seen other comments from you on this, so...
Yes, I've been watching your reaction to the show and enjoying that "first look" feeling vicariously. :-D
I was SOOOOooo hooked on that show. You're lucky in that you get two episodes a week. I had to wait the entire eight weeks long to get the whole thing.
Frankly, I could have waited the full eight weeks to watch the series, as to be honest, I don't find the time from Sunday night to Monday night enough time to absorb the episode on Sunday and all that happened in it before the next one airs on Monday night.
Still, really enjoying it. Hate to think what Fox will do when they do the American version of it.
