I've just been catching up on the NHL Free Agent frenzy that's been going on today, and the news in terms of the
Ottawa Senators.
I'm in shock and still can't believe that Daniel Alfredsson has gone to the Detroit Red Wings on a one-year contract worth $5.5 million dollars. Absolute shock. Still trying to absorb it.
That said, Brian Murray made a couple of interesting moves, in gettting Clark MacArthur, formerly of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but the big news is the deal with Anaheim sending Bobby Ryan to Ottawa in exchange for Jakob Silferberg and Stefan Noessen and a 1st round draft pick. What an up-and-down day this has been for the Senators.
Still don't know what to think of this, especially the Alfredsson business.
