So our good friend Coral-67 just let me know about this.
It seems like we may be getting an Alex Delaware tv-show from FOX and Jerry Bruckheimer.
Maybe it's too soon to be overjoyed, since they are still working on a script. BUT I AM.

Wait, was Milo closeted at first in the books? I thought he was always out... But then I haven't read the really early ones.

What's the betting Milo will be "Hollywood ugly"?

Could be a good weekly show concept, though. Interesting to see what happens with it.

I made a wishlist on my tumblr and Milo being ugly fat with no sense of fashion is there. That is really important for the character, IMO.

Milo often is Brad Garrett in my mind, though lately I've been finding Ray Stevenson a good match (though way too cute).

Either way, they are probably doing the characters younger, in their 30s or so, and I can't think of a single actor that can fit Milo's profile.

I was debating the closet issue with Coral. We both think whoever wrote the article has not read the books, or that they are showing Milo's very start as a detective.

On a side note, he was never "in the closet" in the first book, it was more a "don't ask don't tell" kind of thing. People knew what he was and he was often harressed, but it wasn't official. Hope that answers your question.
