So, I just wrote three pages of pretty explicit Magneto/Pyro sex and I feel a little guilty. Because it's pretty explicit. And I was going for a subtle, tension-filled encounter in Erik's shadowy bedroom in the middle of the night.

I'm afraid if I keep writing, they're just going to have more sex and I'll never get the subtlety back in the story

Yes, they're being very bad. I usually don't even write explicit sex. One minute, John was standing at Erik's bedroom door and the next minute, they were both on the bed. Having sex.
