 I went to bed too late last night, in my usual often in vain attempt to attack the long to-do list inevitably left on the last evening of a long weekend. He thought he was the good guy in a completely different story, and that made him a truly excellent bad guy in this one.

I think I've seen a quote somewhere (by someone, at sometime, vague vague terrible memory) that said that the best bad guys are the ones who think that they're the good guys, which I thought was quite true. Usually much more interesting, at the very least.

I WOULD ABSOLUTELY READ EVERYTHING ABOUT Q BEING A HOLMES BROTHER, yes.

No but seriously, you are so right about Silva! This is exactly why he's such a great, creepy, TOTALLY INSANE villain. (I kind of want fic from his pov that shows how he's TOTALLY JUSTIFIED IN HIS EVERY ACTION.)
