Ok, new rule

Today and tomorrow are going to be crap days at work, and I know it and can't do anything to mitigate that. So! In the spirit of moving the fuck on, let's play.

Timestamp meme: Give me a timestamp sometime in the future or sometime before the start of one of my stories, and I'll tell you what's going on. (Bonus: if you pick a story that has a sequel ( Read more... )

i'm here to be told, in search of a master narrative, no going to the lighthouse

OH MAN BUY HANDMADE. I've been considering writing a sequel forever, but sometimes I think it's the kind of story that is perfect the way it is and I shouldn't try to write anymore of it. I go back and forth ( ... )

OMG, this is so perfect as I'm just re-reading again (I have it all printed out with a pretty cover) your Gerard Way (Vampire) Detective Agency fics.

So... at the end of the first one, it ended with Frank asking Gerard if there were any more secrets. And Frank was trying to be all LOL. BUT, Gerard was showing that he DID have more secrets. THEN in the next fic they were off on another case. How did that conversation at the end of your first fic end?

And I am curious about everything between that first fic and the next. All the kisses and Frank moving his suits into Gerard's closets. All of it ;) Or just the initial conversation.

Ooh, ok, so, a lot happens between that last conversation and the next case. But, starting with the conversation - Gerard manages to wiggle his way out. Essentially, it becomes a conversation about how much they mean to each other and how glad they are they have each other and Gerard is like, yeah, no, I don't have any more secrets, don't worry, Frankie, everything's going to be ok ( ... )

Ooooooh! Gerard and Lindsey invite Frank and Jamia over for dinner Friday night. Not the usual get-distracted-making-out-and-burn-the-tofu-pups dinner, but a real, sit-down dinner. And ok, there's a little distraction with the making out, but nothing gets burned. There's even a tossed salad. Fancy stuff ( ... )

I'd love to know the story of Frank deciding to make the decision to become a vampire before he dies of a lung infection. Was Jamia all for it? How long was it before the first story?

I feel like Frank's been a vampire for at least a couple of years at the start of the first story. He's pretty comfortably living a Midnighter life with a Midnighter job, apartment, and zombie roommate. I don't think it was much more than 2 years, because I can't imagine Frank staying at Pencey for that long without settling into something more permanent than temp jobs ( ... )

"Do you believe in other dimensions?" Bob says, startling Gerard as he comes over from inspecting the door he's cut into Ray's side of the basement, which they’re concealing behind an old tapestry that had probably also been used as a drop cloth ( ... )
