I just finished reading a spectacular Sherlock fic: The Death and Resurrection of the English Language by wordstrings. Filled of beautiful imagery, this terrifying and believable wandering through Sherlock's idea of romance is Sherlock POV, and it was just as balanced between perfect and DEAR GOD YOU ARE A STRANGE MAN AND IT MAKES YOU VERY ATTRACTIVE. Oooh, really? I have a two-part podfic of that on my mp3 player by a podficcer who does one of the best Sherlock voices I've ever heard (pandarus); definitely going to make sure I listen as soon as I can! Thanks for the rec :D

Sorry, longtime bandom lurker here; Sherlock's been my shiny new fandom for a while, and I just couldn't help but to surface and squee when one of my favorite bandom writers loves one of my favorite Sherlock fics.
