Oh, man, read Hex Hall and its sequel Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins. I was skeptical going in, but Hex Hall is cute and charming and then Demonglass is just edge of seat AWESOME. There are witches and demons and vampires and the protagonist's best friend/roommate is a baby dyke vampire who actually gets to have a romance in Demonglass. I highly, highly, highly enjoyed them both.

I could rec you some HP too, but most of it would be Harry/Draco...

reparations by sara's girl is a really good harry/draco that's written in more of a bandom style that i found refreshing. plus, together with its sequel (foundations), the story is close to 400k words. =)
