Looking for the evil warehouses in my neighborhood

If you ever have the occasion to write a tv show set it, say, in Boston, remember these two things: 1. sometimes less specifics are better, and 2. there's a whole career where people find information for other people all day long. And I'm pretty sure your story-editing intern also knows how to google in her sleep. These handy words of advice come ( Read more... )

Ooh, what were you thinking of using it for at work? My team-within-the-team uses tumblr to collect links for our bigger rss aggregator projects.

Also - username@lj is a good email for me. My tumblr is sleeping at the moment but I hope to wake it up soon.

We're hopefully using it for a community reads online book group, because I like the way multiple users can post without everything being one blog post and a thread of discussion. I'll let you know how it works!

honestly, it was a struggle to get through the first two seasons; i stuck it out for ali larter, but she was never given a really interesting storyline.

thanks for the link -- those pictures make my mouth water!

(which, I feel like, with a character who has intuitive aptitude, which means he SEES HOW THINGS WORK, it should be harder for Sylar to be manipulated.)
RIGHT!? Season 3 was so, so frustrating.

Ugh, Heroes, how can you make such a mess of YOUR OWN CHARACTERS?? I'm going to watch Volume 4 soon, I think, but very reluctantly.

Volume 4 was better-ish...

And it had a lot of Sylar being hot. (It's pretty sad that that is the first positive thing I can come up with.)

I feel like being guided by the Sylar Prettiness/Delightfully Evil Scale is a very appropriate way to approach the show.

I'm sorry about Heroes. :( I really have no idea how you can deal with continuing to watch it; I went and read up on some of the third season plot points a couple months back, and it just made me want to tear my hair out. I'm all for villains eventually becoming heroes (or at least, more fully human) in a lot of contexts, but like everything else on that show, it sounds so clumsily handled. And I can't even think about the women, or the fact that they seem to have butchered all my favorite characters (I was rather fond of Mr. Bennett in the first season, but ugh).

You should tell me where your tumblr is! :) Once I get mine set up, I'll reciprocate.

Heroes, seriously, it's extremely frustrating to watch them make the same mistakes, as well as to undo the things I thought they were doing well. SIGH
