There's an AU in that

Olivia_circe came to visit, and we got flaily and talked about bandom a whole lot, and then she came to dinner and Torchwood watching and got to meet and hang out with some of my favorite people, and it was an awesome end to the weekend.

We watched Becoming, Parts 1 and 2 from season two of Buffy while I was making dessert, and somehow, through some ( Read more... )

"Bandom is just...life unfolding" what an interesting thought.

It is nice to read your comments about how you enjoyed sharing your story. I am strictly a reader only and I don't understand what it is like to write - to me the idea of trying to write a story makes my skin crawl. I sometimes feel a bit bad that I get so many wonderful stories to read without contributing anything myself. It helps to know that the people supplying me with my fix are getting something out of it too!

It is such a grind your enemies into talcum powder kind of day. That and the one where Buffy slices the priest in two with the magic axe. That kind of makes me cry with joy that episode. Why doesn't anyone ever give me a magic axe?

I know you wrote this forever ago and I am a complete stranger, but I just wanted to say yes, this, exactly. The thing I love most about bandom is that every story is an original narrative for these characters, because they aren't characters at all but people and the only narrative their lives hold are those we choose to see there. I'm not a writer, but a reader and the thing that keeps pulling me consistently back to bandom is that the only stories here are those the authors choose to tell and as a result some of the most creative fics and fanart I've seen are in this fandom.

Also, I am horrible at commenting on actual stories, but I've spent the whole day going through your backlog of fics. Someone on my flist recommended your fic from big bang this year (which absolutely stunned me). I remembered about halfway through reading it that you were the person who wrote Buy Handmade, which is one of my all time favorite MCR AUs. I have to say every story I've read so far has amazed me. You not only have a great handle on your characters ( ... )
