If you go to Z'ha'dum, you will die

I haven't written much about watching Babylon 5 because I still don't really know how to talk about it. Mostly, I just call kjabernathy and say threatening things along the lines of how I'll never forgive her if anything happens to Delenn.

What's happened is this: ( the first half, or maybe only the first quarter, ramblings about the second season )

the circle completing itself

I spent all of nolivingman's watching of B5 whistling because to reveal things is to lose something of the show. But I still wish you'd watched from S1, because B5 is one of the rare shows where the threads run from start to finish, and when you get to the end, you smack yourself in the head a lot going "OHMYGOD."

I do intend to watch season one, at least before I watch the end. I'm convinced now of the way things come together, and I'm sure some of the things I've seen in season two will make more sense. I'm just so excited about the show, and it keeps surprising me. That's the best part.

It really is an amazingly well written show, compiled more like a novel than a TV series. I can't wait to see more of your reactions at you go!

romanticalgirl pointed me here to share your first-time viewing thing. I am on a second viewing, and the love only grows. I'm with you on your Delenn love - I love that she's cagey and flawed and yet so loving and wonderful. I adore her. And Sheridan. And Ivanova. And Londo and G'Kar. And Vir. Actually, I love them all, never mind. Hee.

It's the sort of touch that always gets me, the accidental touch that's meant as a gesture of friendship and closeness, something innocuous that they've done dozens of times before

That hand touching gets me every time. Not that I've rewatched that scene over and over like a shmoopy shipper or anything except I totally have. Cause it's electric and yet it isn't and everything changes in C&L and that episode. They were friends and they felt a stirring of something and then BAM it happens. And that's just the best feeling in the world. JMS is publishing books of all his B5 scripts and in the script for that scene he wrote the best description of how it should be played. Here, let me find it:

It's that moment you ( ... )

I get great joy out of you making the connections in this show. It's so amusing, and such fun to have converted another poor soul to the joys of B5. Now...that Starbuck/Ivanova crossover....mmmmmmm
