"What's a vampire?"

Yesterday, I finished Fray, and I loved it. It reminded me how much I am drawn to the slayer mythology - just a few pages and I was sucked back into the idea of Chosen One - the chosen woman - and the Watchers and the demons and the calling. (On a side note, I've been watching my way through Millennium - I've seen the first eight episodes so far - ( Read more... )

no power in the 'verse, in search of a master narrative, grind our enemies into talcum powder

I had a very distinct moment of panic when I connected Inferi with Sirius - I was terrified. Or Cedric. Or James and Lily. Huge potential for angst

Oh, I'm sure that's coming.

I've seen the first eight episodes so far - and I am sorely disappointed in the lack of demons.

The demons come into play more in the second half of the first season and then into seasons two and three.

Once you're introduced to Lucy Butler...who still scares the living crap out of me. *shivers*

Sigh. I loved Millennium. I still miss it on Friday nights. It bookended my Sundays with Mulder and Scully so well. :D

*pets Ten Thirteen*

And I think you just bunnied me with the Inferni... *eyes glaze over*

Yeah, watching Millennium has made me pull out my X-Files DVDs. Some of the scene-establishing shots, especially of the houses in Millennium are just so X-Files. *loves*

Eeeeee! I'm so afraid and excited. Seriously, I am terrified of the idea of Inferi as they are - but - re-animated, evil loved ones? *fears*

I know! And they used so many of the same Vancouver actors. It's always fun to go back and forth between the two series and figure out who was what minor character where. Heh.

I miss the X-Files. *cries* Particularly season five. I think that was my favourite...

They're truly creepy. They remind me of the Cauldron-Born in Lloyd Alexander's Prydain series...the zombie warriors brought to life to fight for the side of evil. *shiver*

I would so freak if we see a reanimated canon character...like Dumbledore. Wouldn't that be terrifying? Or Sirius... I can't even begin to imagine what that would do to Harry and Remus.

(Damn it. The bunny's getting bouncier... *grin*)

Oh my goodness, I miss X-Files. It was the thing that really showed me how very obsessed I could become with stories.

And I think season five was my favorite, too!

I would totally flip out. *runs and runs*

Oh, and I am SO curious about your bunny. !!!

I love Frey SO MUCH. I read the whole thing while visiting my brother, and completely ignored him for an hour to sit on the floor and read it.

And then I went and watched the end of Buffy Season 7 again, and got all squee-y inside about the scythe.

Your meta on it is marvellous, and makes me want more Frey (which I already did), and even makes me want fic. Hmmm...
