Oh, and look what I just found on AO3 - http://archiveofourown.org/works/341304
(It's a S&S/Edwardian TW ficlet!! Very nice, although I always have to get over my initial surprise and frowniness at other people writing your characters. ;-D)
(And, yes, I can read ficlets most of the time. Especially S&S - it's different to other things, isn't it? Glorious epics, not so much. But I look forward to it. Am also hoping you will have finished Four, Jago & Litefoot and the singing Sontarans, Peri, Six and the Roundheads, and written another b&w epic historical by the time I'm up to these things. And if my online reading never quite recovers, then I want your fantasy/other novel asap, please. Not that I'm demanding or anything. ;-p)

I like that ficlet a lot. :) Good to see someone using the "canon" fluff on Gerald and the crew too (ie. that dodgy stuff they posted on the BBC TW website after the original episode aired). And like you I thought Steel in particular was excellently done - insisting on referring to Harriet as "the girl" and so on.
Well, I will say I'm at least writing again, which is more than I was doing this time last year. I know, I did write some things last year, but very patchily. I'm sort of feeling back in the groove since Xmas - should mount another assault on the south face of the Black Bore, really. And yes...those other WIPs. They are not forgotten, truthfully. And I _did_ have an idea for a 60s-style historical too. So...when you're able, I may have some stuff for you. :)

Heh. When I saw it earlier (after my initial double take at other people taking liberties with Harriet and Gerald), I thought someone might as well have written it specially for you.
Aw, well that sounds more positive & I'm glad, because I knew 2010 and 2011 weren't really that great for you. I'm sure it'll continue. :-)

I was well chuffed with it. And I didn't even write it. :D
Thanks. And I suspect my 2010 and 2011 were a bit better than yours, so you know, perspective is key. :)
