I too was wondering as soon as Sardick hugged himself about the Blinovitch limitation effect. But only for a moment. And I loved the singing.

Don't forget, now the Doctor is married to Marilyn Monroe!

I did like this one to bits, and am going to watch it again. And then probably again on BBCAmerica when it comes on, like a good little patient fangirl.

I wonder though, why they didn't let past Katherine sing? Why let future Katherine out? Arg, wibbly wobbly, timey-wimey...

Oh and as far as causality and the subject's human rights... well... to be fair, the Doctor did put Kazran 4004th on the list, and he did try at least to change his mind nicely, as Amy said.

Favorite lines: I loved the part where he's telling young Kazran about the Face Spiders, and then was like "Oh, I probably shouldn't have mentioned that". And "Isomorphic, you fibber. There's no such thing!"

also "What do you call it when you don't have any feet, and you're taking a run up?"

also "It's either this or go back to your room and build a new kind of screwdriver, don't make my mistakes!" OMG I can't believe he snuck that in... lol

I just finished watching it. I liked it, but I think I will need to re-watch it a few times to fully appreciate it. It was classic Moffat though, wasn't it?

My theory about why Amy and Rory were in those costumes was (regrettably?) accurate. I think it's very funny, but I didn't think he would make that joke, especially on Christmas! Also, the Doctor cursed! I know it has been happening more on the show, but it usually isn't the Doctor.

It was classic Moffat, for good or for ill... :D I liked it too, quite a bit! I think the thing about these sort of timey-wimey shenanigans, while they're very satisfying to watch, is they kind of throw up question marks about all the other stories the Doctor could have done things like that, but didn't...and indeed create plotholes in this story where there wouldn've have been, like "well, if he was prepared to use the TARDIS to do that, why didn't he just...?" But it was, as you say, extremely entertaining. I've watched it twice! XD

I thought the Blinovitch Limitation Effect went out the window back in "The Big Bang" when Amy and Amelia touched each other. I agree, though; it was an effect that I was rather fond of. *sigh*

But that's okay, I'm willing to give up continuity for the sake of some good timey-wimey storytelling. :D

Yes Amy touching Amelia totally blew away the BLE thing...

Which is odd, because it was still working earlier in the same episode when the two screwdrivers touched...

It's possible to avert the bad side-effects of touching your earlier self, but the time traveller who brought you has to anticipate the possibility and do something complicated in advance.

LOVED IT. Also, the continuity wank was totally ickle Kazran wearing Four's scarf.

XD - Yes, I forgot about the scarves - remembered about them on the second watch! I'm kind of intrigued, in a non-cracky way, actually, by the notion of the Doctor hanging out with the Rat Pack and their associated retinues of Kennedys and mobsters...
