Sir Terry Pratchett 1948-2015

After hearing the sad but, I think, not wholly unexpected news earlier this evening, I don't have a lot to say about it that others haven't said more eloquently elsewhere. When we were super poor young adults buying cheap things that wore out because that's what we could buy, we used to mutter under our breath about the Vimes Boot Theory of Economic Injustice. Pratchett had a neat way of succinctly summing up generally invisible truths. I will miss that greatly.

I'm only just getting to know his works, too. Looks like he was not only a great author, but a great man as well. He shall be sorely missed...
