[ALT] Tokyo Babylon 1999 (OP) - Kuusou Mythology
Another attempt of mine to make an opening in a MAD Movie... (as you likely know by now MAD Movie designates video done solely by Japanese so I labelled this simply a Alternate Theme...).
I've seen this opening and I thought 'this is perfect for a TB video!'.
Well, originally the plan was the video should have been focused on TB only, no X attached but... X wormed it's way in it anyway...
Blame the remaking of 'Face on' who had the video twist from a TB only into a TB & X... and so since it was a TB & X video of course it becames another TB 1999 video for my collection... really CLAMP you should do a SeiSub anime that will cover TB & X. You should!
Actually the ending should have been the same as the original opening (a hand grasping the hand of a person that's falling), then I switched with a hand that failed to rescue a person that's falling to completely remove the hands matter and go for the ending you can see. Yes, there was a lot of work in this, expeciallly because there was no way to find matching footage for the second part of the video so... I stopped following the original opening and went my own way. Hopefully it didn't turn out too bad...
Anyway, odd opening as there are a couple of pic from the manga... and of course finding fitting footage drove me insane.
On a sidenote I've to say video editor programs help a lot. I remember pretty well the time in which the best one could do was to rearrange the scenes and maybe apply some transition effects and yet there was people that just with that could make awesome video.
I wonder what they could have done with a proper video editing program.

The song I used is one the 1th opening theme from 'Mirai Nikki', 'Kuusou Mythology' by Yousei Teikoku.

while the chains of karma controlling space and time begin to get tangled.
It's a fantasy program bestowed by the gods.

We'll snatch away the miracle that's thirsting for a survival game of annihilation,
just like a spiral.
The pitying observers
are farther away than the life and death I yearn for
In a tiny garden at the end of the ends,
there would be an endless miracle
or so I believed.
