I've always liked the English version better, but then the German translation was cringeworthy at best. I don't know why the German fans are so in love with it, but then ... Well, years later they used to run an add on Austrian TV that said 'Children want a program for children and not a childish program.' It was probably an entirely new concept for German speaking TV makers ...

Both Nemesis' and Jesse's voices suit their characters excellently in English, I think. (German Jesse sounds very different from the English one.)

Colt's voice gets more understandable once you get used to it, but he's supposed to be American, so he's farthest from school English - Saber should sound familiar, though unless you've only ever heard Italian accents.

Well, I couldn't understand a thing of German and you don't want to know how was the Italian version, trust me. Apparently German and Italian tv think alike... -_-
Saber's voice sounds a little bit older than the Italian one... (or maybe it's just me) but at least I can understand him and Fireball just fine. I still find rather funny to hear them talking in English... I'm so used to their Italian version... ^___^

Well, lets just say I always thought that the weird things they said were an attempt to talk like the children of the time when they had no idea what children talk like. When they released the German DVDs though there was an interview with the voice actors on it where they said they just rushed through it so they could get back to playing tennis and they tried to hide each other's names in the text as jokes ... *cringe, cringe, cringe*

Saber sounding older seems good to me. As team leader he's supposed to be the most mature.

Well, the Italian version... was the messiest thing ever. They decided to adapt names and then they would forget how and use the original ones to go back to the adapted names...
The voice actors didn't do a bad job... the problem were the script translators who likely didn't understand English... >_< or decided the original script wasn't interesting enough and wanted to make up a new one sometimes...

You're right but his Italian voice made me wish to cuddle him... while his English one doesn't... -_-
I'm weird, I know...
