Tecnically we could be in 2010 also... I don't think further than 2010... but since for Card Captor the CLAMP had made up a new Tokyo district... Sakura lives in Tomoeda-chou written 友枝町. Now 町 means 'town' but if it's used as a suffix it should mean 'district'. However many Tokyo districts right now when write their names in English call themselves 'Cities'. Considering the closeness of Sakura's house to Tokyo Tower and the fact we see nothing else representing Tokyo apart from it and buildings are all pretty short in my mind I picture Tomoeda-Chou as a district created in Tokyo after the battle between Kamui and Fuma ended. Maybe in place of Minato-ku who should be where they're fighting in 18.5. Tomoeda can be translated as 'Friend branch'. If there happened something that returned Fuma Kamui's friend... or showed Subaru's friendship toward Kamui, or something like that, the name would be fitting... But that's just me...
