[002] Hope: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. That's the moment Subaru and Seishiro's eyes met. At first I wanted it to have only the 'love at first sight' sentence then I ended up adding 'It was' ... 'Wasn't it?' to give the whole thing an idea of uncertainity. As for why it's on the 'hope' topic... well it reflects every fan's hope doesn't it?
[003] Light: Cover of 'Shoten' 6. I discoloured and blurred everything around Subaru and Seishiro and added thema 'Glow' filter.
[004] Dark: Picture from 'CLAMP Laboratory'. I moved Subaru at the same heigh of Seishiro.
[005] Vibrant: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. Subaru and Seishiro's second meeting. I found deliciously ironic that Subaru actually fell at Seishiro's first glance... However I'm not too sure if it fits the topic...

[012] Warrior: No idea from where this coloured picture came but it was done to sponsorize the 1st 'Tokyo Babylon' OAV. I raised Seishiro a bit and removed the ciack...
[013] Melody: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. The quote is an adaptation from the lyrics of 'Musica E'' by Eros Ramazzotti. The exact translation of the original quote was: 'Music is the regular dance of all your breaths on me.' I've shortened it a bit due to lack of space.
[014] Pure: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga.

[016] Royalty: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. Added a 'Glow' filter. Subaru and Seishiro aren't really royalty but they're both Clan heads...
[017] Sacrifice: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. I erased the ballon and redraw the missing parts. I tend to think Seishiro didn't want to kill Subaru in that moment but that he would have done it anyway because... well I fear he's not capable to let him go...
[018] Family: Picture from 'X: Selection Of Destiny', the 'X' Playstation Game. Hokuto was cut from the picture (to give the impression she was ripped away from it), that got a white border, was rotated and I spent hours to draw a nice pin over which went the text that completely covered it... *sighs* I also added a 'Craquelure Texture' to the background...
[019] Magic: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. I erased the ballons and redraw the missing parts.
[020] Eternity: Picture from 'Tokyo Babylon 1999' cover tape and 'X' illustration. The background was an 'X' illustration, I brightened the red in the thread that connect Subaru to Seishiro and added a glow to it.

[022] Rainbow: Scenes from 'X' manga. I really didn't want to do a 'Rainbow Bridge' reference for this one... but in the end I came to a compromise. According to an old story at the end of a rainbow there's a treasure. Well, that's the end of the Rainbow (bridge that is about to crumble) and I gues Seishiro's words are a treasure for Subaru...

[031] Fade Away: 'X' illustrations. The first is part of the immage you see on the spine of the 'X' manga volumes. Subaru was moved closer to Seishiro. The one in the background is from a group illustration. Everyone else was cut away and I had to redraw a tiny bit of Subaru's face that was covered by Fuma's shoulder. I also brightened it and coloured in red Subaru's jacket.
[032] Monochrome: 'Tokyo Babylon' illustration. Seishiro can't really feel much for other people... except Subaru I guess...
[033] (In My) Heart: 'Tokyo Babylon' illustration. A reference to Hokuto's words 'You took Subaru's heart away'.
[034] Angel: 'X' illustration. Irony of life again. Subaru joined Seishiro's side only after Seishiro's death...
[035] Rose(s): Scenes from 'X' manga. The quote is actually from 'Yami no Matsuei' manga. 'What... are you doing?' 'Trimming the flowers. In order for the beautiful ring of petals to bloom, I'm getting rid of the needless buds... That is the basis for rose gardening, is it not? In order for a rose to bloom beautifully something must be sacrificed... Do you understand what I'm saying, Asato?... It means that your life is built on the sacrifices of others! You have in that way thinned out countless human lives...'
[036] Blossom: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. Subaru's always searching for Seihiro in a fashion... and since Seishiro's surname means 'Cherry blossom burial ground'...
[037] Silly: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. Cut Hokuto out of it. Added a 'Glass' filter to teh background. Based on a dialogue between Seishiro and Subaru: 'But still, I love this Tokyo.' 'Why is that?' 'Because it is the only capital here on Earth that "enjoys" itself while walking on the path towards destruction.' and I think Seishiro pulled himself and Subaru on the same path having as much fun as possible...
[038] Memories: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' and 'X' manga. I've been in doubt about which one of the two scenes post on the top. Actually that's another indirect kiss. Subaru kisses the hand Seishiro kissed long ago...
[039] Desolation: Scenes from 'X' manga. The quote is the translation from the last lyrics of the poetry 'San Martino Del Carso' by Giuseppe Ungaretti. Here is a possible translation of it: 'Of those houses/nothing/but bits of walls/Of all who/would talk with me not/even that much remains/But in my heart/no one's cross is missing/My heart is/the most desolated country'. It's just... very fitting. There's a lot of destruction around Subaru but his heart is in an even worst shape... and in a fashion you can consider Seishiro's heart 'desolated' as well...
[040] Secret: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' OAV and 'X' tv series. Added a 'Carve' effect. Quote from the song 'Dangerous To Know' by Hilary Duff. I was stuck by the similarity between the two scenes...
[041] Glass(es): Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. I erased the crashing sound. Actually the topic might be more 'mirrors' than 'glasses'... however mirrors are made of glass and both Subaru and Seishiro shattered their reflection and there's the reference to Seishiro talking about shattering a glass and I couldn't resist to the resemblance betweent the two scenes...
[042] Smoke: Scenes from 'X' manga. Used a 'Fire' filter on it. Because smoking his bad for your health but Seishiro is worst...
[043] Fancy: 'Tokyo Babylon 1999' tape 1st illustration (later substituted with a picture of the actors).
[044] Tranquility: Poster from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. I just corrected a bit the eye colour of the boys... As for the quote... well they should really learn to enjoy their few moments of tranquility...
[045] Air: Scenes from 'X' manga. Adapted a bit so it would fit in the icon size and added some more feathers... Quote from 'In The Air Tonight' by Phil Collins.
[046] Weapon: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' and 'X' manga. Adapted a bit because in the original wasn't present part of Subaru's face... Since the Sakurazukamori is a killer he could be considered a human weapon... besides it was interesting to put together a pic of 25 Seishiro with one of 25 Subaru...
[047] Promise: 'X' illustration. I cut out Fuma and Kamui, flipped it horizontally (since Seishiro's blind eye is the right one! CLAMP, have you forget?) moved the two so they were close, removed the background and added as background another 'X' illustration that has a wing in it with clock mechanism (Wings in 'X' represent Wishes). I guess fulfilling their Wish can be considered a promise to themselves.
[048] Style: 'CLAMP no Kiseki' covers. Returned to the right colour Seishiro's eyes.
[049] Solitude: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. There's a 'Glass' filter in the background. The scene is from Vol.2 when Subaru's musing over the fact he'd been told he's not normal by a childhood friend. He's not looking at Seishiro but Seishiro seems to sympathize with him anyway...
[050] Expression: Commercial picture for 'X: The Selection of Destiny'. I've cut out anything else that wasn't Subaru or Seishiro and added the Yin-Yang or Taiji diagram in the background. The idea came from a discussion with a friend. I said I found interesting how, in that picture, Subaru and Seishiro are the only ones who're looking at each other but that it was too bad that they were holding Ofuda. She told me I hadn't seen the hearts printed behind th Ofuda....
[051] Kiss: Scenes from 'X' manga. Drinking from the same glass, eating with the same fork, smoking the same cigarette is considered indirect kissing in Japan... too bad Seishiro had to ruin everything showing Subaru his hand is covered in blood...
[052] Forgiveness: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. Actually I wanted to use only one of the three pictures but once I've coloured the three of them I decided to keep them together.
[053] Soft: Scenes from 'X' manga. Have you noticed Seishiro's obsession for touching Subaru? Anyway soft can be referred both to Subaru's heart, Seishiro's heart (for not killing him... okay, I would have considered it a merciful act...) or to Subaru's skin. Do your pick.
[054] Are you there?: Commercial picture for 'X: The Selection of Destiny'. I've cut out Kamui and Fuma from the picture and redraw the missing parts.
[055] Loneliness: 'X' illustration. Somehow the two of them feel so alone in that pic... they're together and yet they seem so apart... but maybe it's just me. Quote translated from an Italian song 'Il Sole E La Luna' by Ron.
[056] Working: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' OAV and 'X: Selection Of Destiny', the 'X' Playstation Game. Subaru and Seishiro are so often busy with their work they get so little chances to be together...
[057] Dancing: Scenes from 'X' manga. I cut the lighter out. Too bad I had to leave the scenes in the Japanese reading... Somehow they seem almost to dance in that scene... Quote from 'The Different' by Melissa Ethridge. Actually I wanted to use more of them but they would end up covering the picture too much... [058] Abandoned: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. You can wonder who had been left alone, Seishiro because Subaru is within and therefore out of his reach or Subaru because Seishiro vanished?
[059] Misunderstanding: Scenes from 'X' manga. The two of them so didn't understand their own wishes...
[060] Vacation: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. I erased the ballon and redraw the missing parts. You can pick up who's talking. Seishiro, who's declating he's feelingless or Subaru whose heart had just been crushed... I found interesting how them both had their eyes close in that scene...
[061] Hug: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. Actually Seishiro is from a panel and Subaru is from the one under it... That's the only time in which we see Subaru smile when Seishiro embraces him and CLAMP had to put him smiling in a different panel... *sighs*
[062] Stalker: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. Because it amuses me how Seishiro always claims he doesn't care for Subaru and then he's at Ikebukuro at watching him fight, then he's out of Shinjuku's hospital when Subaru is in there, then he's at Rainbow Bridge when Subaru goes there... he let Subaru kill him and he also gives him his eye... and in 'Tsubasa' he gave his eye in exchange for the magic to hunt him in different universes... but he's not stalking Subaru... really... yeah, sure...
[063] Tears: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' and 'X' manga. Used a 'Blur' filter on the 'Tokyo Babylon' scenes. When Seishiro was around he was used to comfort Subaru... this time he's here and yet he's not and can't stop Subaru's tears...

I think this should be the commercial that warned that on 'Shoten 5' there would be the first story involving Subaru, Seishiro and Hokuto (I might be wrong) and therefore it could be the first picture of them ever printed. I wonder if CLAMP knew they would become so popular when they drew that pic...
[071] In the moonlight: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. I erased the ballon and redraw the missing parts and added what should have been the city's lights behind... but once I turned the icon to its size they looked more like stars... The quote translated from the Japanese song 'Solid Gold' by Takashima Masahiro, that's, according to CLAMP, Seishiro's image song.
[072] Tickle: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. It's so rare to see Subaru angry... but what I like most in that scene was that as Subaru said so Seishiro turned and smiled as that was exactly what he wanted him to say... and if you consider what had happened on Rainbow Bridge that's probably true...

Quote from 'Ghost Of You And Me' by BBMak. Again I've been stuck by the similarity between what had happened in 'Tokyo Babylon' and in 'X'. Actually in 'X' it was Kamui who was holding Subaru's hand but I guess that Subaru was dreaming of Seishiro as he slept... and taht feels so lonely...
[075] Honorable: Cover for 'X' Roman Book 2. I've recoloured the eyes...
[076] Walls: 'Tokyo Babylon' illustration. I painted the wall between Subaru, moved the two closer and added a 'Cloud' filter on the background.
[077] Happiness: 'Tokyo Babylon' illustration. I've given to the boy's eyes the right colour and changed the background colour. I've increased contrast and brightness and added a 'Glow' filter to the handcuffs... to have them covered by the text... *sighs* Anyway I do think that those two would be happy if they could tie each other together permanently...

I flipped horizontal the scene from 'CLAMP no Wonderland' so that Seishiro would be in the same side of the two others. Quote is a translation from 'Growin' Up Itsu Ka Mata Aeru Hi Made...' by Kageyama Hironobu.

Subaru's hugging Seishiro, Seishiro had likely told him what he wanted to hear (I hope) but what could have been a heavenly situation is ruined by the fact that Seishiro is dead!

I'd been thinking a lot for this one... because I couldn't really show 31 tastes of Subaru or Seishiro or their relation... so... well if you've a new taste each day you have a surprise each day... so I took 3 moments in which Subaru surprised Seishiro...

Fuma not telling Seishiro Subaru's true wish, CLAMP not telling us who Seishiro saw when he looked at Fuma, Seishiro keeping his intention toward Subaru a secret...
[098] Open doors: Scenes from 'X: Selection Of Destiny', the 'X' Playstation Game. Many comment about Subaru's eyes giving away his soul... and when I saw a pic of him hiding them behind sunglasses and Seishiro trying to free him from them I couldn't resist...
[099] Lace: 'Tokyo Babylon' illustration. I've changed the colour of the background, painted in gold Seishiro's eyes and in red the laces and used a 'Glow' filter on them. It had always stuck me as a sign of loneliness and insecurity how Seishiro bond Subaru to himself...
[100] Forever & a day: Scenes from 'Tokyo Babylon' manga. I put together two different scenes and there's a 'Cloud' filter in the background thought I doubt people will notice it.

[103] Tarot: 'X' illustration. I'm not too fond of this. It simply stuck me as interesting that Subaru and Seishiro's tarot cards are 12 and 13 and therefore close one to the other...
[104] Wishing: 'X' illustrations for the anime. I've removed Satsuki from the picture and sobstituted her with the picture of Subaru... from which I cut out Arashi and Sorata and I corrected Subaru's eye colour.
